How long does it take to get a license?
First, you’ll need to complete your program.
- Cosmetology: 12 months
- Esthetics: 7 months
- Nail Technology: 4 months
After you graduate, you’ll schedule your state licensing exam. Once you pass, the state will process your application and issue your official license—usually within 1–2 weeks.
Does I M Beauty School offer part-time programs?
All of our programs run full-time, Monday–Friday from 9:30 AM–3:30 PM.
However, we stay open until 6:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM–5:00 PM on Saturdays. Students are welcome to clock in during these extra hours to study, practice, and earn additional credit hours.
If you have scheduling challenges, speak with our administrator—we may be able to offer some flexibility.

- Down payment: $3,014 (due on Day 1)
- Remaining balance: Paid over 10 months
Esthetics
- Total: $8,900
- Down payment: $2,145
- Remaining balance: Paid over 6 months
Nail Technology
- Total: $3,995
- Down payment: $1,545
- Remaining balance: Paid over 3 months

Are scholarships, grants, or financial aid available?
We do not offer in-house scholarships or grants, but many external grant opportunities are available online—most involve an application and an essay.
Financial aid is currently available only at our Glenview campus, and only for the Cosmetology program.
FAFSA eligibility for Esthetics and Nail Technology is pending.
What will I be doing during my courses?
You’ll study the core theories of the beauty industry and build hands-on skills by working with real clients. Our goal is to give you a strong foundation, confidence in your abilities, and the experience to walk into any salon or spa and say, “I can do this.”
