The Illinois State Board of Cosmetology can help you with replacing a lost cosmetology license, updating change of name or change of address information, and acquiring out-of-state and other useful forms, as well as answer additional questions about obtaining an Illinois state cosmetology license.

Illinois Cosmetology Continuing Education

Legal Sponsor for Continuing Education in Cosmetology, Nail Technician and Esthetician.

A maximum of 50% (7 hours) of the total CE hours may be obtained through home study or online courses. The other 7 hours must be in the classroom.

Illinois Cosmetologists are required to complete 14 hours of continuing education before your license renewal on September 30th of each odd-numbered year.
